His research interests include social impact of the media, theatre for development, Benin (Nigerian) video film as well as African performance and cultural studies. Apart from publishing widely both locally and internationally.
He has served as a resource person for the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) project in Nigeria.
He is an active member of professional bodies such as the Institute of Mass Communication and Information Management of Nigeria (IMIM), Society of Nigerian Theatre Artistes (SONTA), Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU, Nigeria), among others.
